Candy Land-Home in Downtown Wilmington w/King Bed

Truly a great stay at an affordable price. Super close to all things downtown and also one block over from the One Tree Hill bridge.

The place was conveniently located walking distance to downtown. It was very clean and ready for our arrival. My only complaint is the noise coming from the neighbors upstairs. You can hear every little step, what they are watching on tv, and when they come and go.

Due to the main purpose of my 2-night trip being off-campus housing tours, we didn’t need to use a lot at the unit. The beds were comfy and the overall place was beautifully decorated (loved the colors!). Water pressure for the showers was great, and the Sonos sound bar was wonderful for the one night I had a chance to watch TV for a couple of hours.

This appartement had it all: clean, comfy, charming, renovated, well located.

We enjoyed our stay and felt that the cost was very reasonable. Close proximity to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. You can walk to get most of what you need very easily. Home was very clean and had most everything we needed for short stay. I would certainly consider staying again!

The family had a great time in Wilmington, and Candyland was a perfect spot to stay for Mom & Dad and two teens who don't like sharing rooms. The kids loved the cookies & candy that were out for guests. The house had a unique charm with the Candyland theme and purple couch. Everything was clean and welcoming. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. It was very easy to enter the property on arrival and was a smooth process leaving. The riverfront is just a few blocks away. We would certainly consider staying again.

This place was great! It was very clean and offered everything we needed. We came to town for a concert and were in walking distance from the venue. Loved how easy it was to check in, and Luke was super easy to communicate with. He was very responsive (even very late into the night when we couldn’t figure out how to get in)! I would definitely stay here again.

House was furnished perfectly. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice touches in the bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, QTips, Flossers etc.) paper towels & tolietpaper. Very easy checkout. Luke was great at communication. Quick to respond. Only issue we had was the icemaker didn’t work.

This was a beautiful spot for our group of friends to gather and spend time together while still having separate spaces as well. We loved being able to walk downtown! We would definitely stay again.

We were very happy and satisfied to find the home exactly as pictured and super clean. We also liked the fact that the host was very proactive and quick in responding to our request for a minor oversight of bathroom drainage issue. It was a very cozy home. Oh, I just remembered the lights over the dining counter did not work or we could not find the switch to turn it on. It was a trivial thing because the kitchen and dining area had ample lighting. Overall, having a cozy place to stay just made our trip really wonderful❣️

CandyLand was clean and spacious and relaxing. A Great location. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings. It seemed as though everyone in the neighborhood had a dog so it was fun to meet them as they walked by. We walked to the RiverWalk some nights, drove others, but enjoyed having the option to do either. Luke was gracious and professional. Would stay again.

Great location with ample parking.

Luke was quick to respond to all our questions. My daughter is a One Tree Hill fan and the location was an easy walk to the bridge. The location was also walkable to downtown Wilmington and an easy drive to Wrightsville Beach. The master bathroom exceeded expectations. Luke also checked in during our stay to see if we needed anything! I would stay again!

We had such a great stay at Candy Land. It was a wonderful location, fully stocked with the necessities. (paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing and washing machine pods, shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, etc.) It was an easy walk to many local attractions. We went for my daughters birthday so she could visit all things One Tree Hill. The best thing about this place was it was one street from the OTH bridge. My daughter and her 2 friends were thrilled. They had several photo shoots on the bridge 😊 The beds were super comfy. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us. I would definitely recommend Candy Land. I would also recommend a few of our favorite places. 20 orange spa, G Prime Steak and Cellar, Bourbon Street, The Dixie Grill, and Crazy Mike’z for souvenirs and you must go to Wrightsville Beach. It’s so beautiful. Candy Land is a great choice to stay in Wilmington. You won’t regret it.

Luke was a great host! Candyland looked EXACTLY like the photos. Everything was spot on. A manual was provided on the kitchen counter with instructions and recommendations. Aside from some wear and tear on the wall in the living room, bathroom floor and kitchen floor; everything was clean and well maintained. When we had an issue with noise from the upstairs residents in the middle of the night; I emailed Luke and he immediately took care of it. The noise stopped. I would highly recommend staying with Luke, he made us feel like we were in a home away from home. Even had extra surprise beverages in the fridge. Definitely would stay here again!

I loved this little house! I stay in Wilmington all the time for work but this place was so charming and homey! The decor was fun but not too much and the furniture was comfortable and welcoming...I am going to buy a set of those velvet curtains! The layout of the house is great. It's street parking only but I didn't have an issue at all with parking and it was easy to find. It is also less than a mile walk to anything you want to do. I would absolutely stay here again. I was also given plenty of linnens and the checkout instructions were simple which is another plus.

The place was beautiful for a weekend getaway for my family and I. The space was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. It was clean, with every amenity you could think of. Luke was a great host, and even helped me try to reschedule or find a different space when I realized I booked the wrong weekend. However, I’m so glad we ended up coming because we so enjoyed our stay! Definitely will be back.

We came down for a quick stay with the primary purpose of a college tour. We managed to get in a great beach day, ate at several really good restaurants and plenty of walking/shopping downtown. Luke”s place was convenient to everything. Several short blocks from the Riverwalk, minutes from great restaurants and within 30 minutes of the beach Accommodations were perfect for our needs. The townhouse was pristine, plenty of amenities and Luke was very quick to respond with any questions. We will definitely be back!!

Perfectly affordable home with an amazing host. Entire house was spotless upon arrival and the river walk was a 10 minute walk from the house. Will definitely be coming back here!

Cute place. Well-intentioned. Headboard fell apart, nightstand swayed so I had to place my hot tea (that I brought), and coffee, on the floor. The tea bags on counter were old and stuck together so the pot of water I had going had to be dumped. The lamp on my side of the bed didn’t work. The neighbors upstairs were VERY loud after midnight. I’m quite sleep deprived now after two noisy nights. This location is in a flight path. Planes were very loud. I didn’t leave one dirty dish, ran a load of towels for the owner, and left the place very clean, yet we had to be out by 10am. Long ago, checkouts were 12, then 11, and now 10am?? Overall not a bad stay. Some things were not the fault of the owner. If I’m going to pay for a vacation, I’d like a later check out, and a quieter place with furniture that’s not falling apart. The theme was cute!

Place was accurate to its description. I had problem with the lock one time and Luke responded IMMEDIATELY and got me right in!

First time in Wilmington and this was a great place to stay! House is adorably decorated and impeccably clean! And huge plus is beds were actually very comfortable. it It had everything we needed (if you're a coffee drinker - multiple options for making coffee right in the home and an adorable coffee place within walking distance). Luke's restaurant recommendations were great (Front Street Brewery had both fantastic food and drinks!) and he is super responsive. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend!!!!

My family and I enjoyed a great stay at Candyland! Nicely decorated. Fully stocked kitchen. The coffee was a nice bonus. Comfortable beds. We walked to downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk. Short drive to Wrightsville Beach. We would stay again when in the area!

Sweet home with comfortable beds, lovely well stocked kitchen, fun decor and only 20 minutes to Wrightsville Beach and 32 minutes to Carolina Beach.

This is a really cute place. The decor is super fun. There are a few things that need repair but nothing that impacted our stay. Comfy beds and furniture, nice linens, great kitchen. Very clean. Super close to downtown/historic district. Plenty of close street parking. Nice front porch. Quiet neighborhood but the upstairs unit is also rented and the weekend we stayed our neighbors were hella loud all night long. I know Luke tried to get them to take it down a notch, but he finally gave up and told us we might have to call the police. Not sure what I expected, but not that... So, if you have a big group, rent both! That's what we'll do next time.

Nearly everything about our stay was perfect. The home was clean and well-appointed, my husband and two teenage daughters were very comfortable. The communication with Luke was nearly perfect. The rain cloud that affected our trip was that the TV would not operate. We thought it may have been the batteries in the remote, but when replacement batteries weren't delivered until late in the afternoon of our stay (and the batteries did not fix the issue), we never heard back with any other attempt to resolve. I expect this was just a fluke -- and it wouldn't dissuade me from recommending this location -- but it was disappointing nonetheless.

We enjoyed this house for a girls weekend. We were able to walk easily to the riverfront, which was nice since we could just leave our car for the weekend. The beds were very comfortable, and the home was clean. The checkout process was also very easy.

This is a great little house on a quiet street, but close to all the fun. Walking distance to downtown attractions, plus some fun little restaurants and bars even closer by. House had everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

Luke was an extremely proactive and responsive host. There is nothing bad to say about his service. However, I want to be honest so that anyone else who books this place is aware of the value. The space seemed very much like a cosmetic renovation job. You can feel the unevenness in the flooring with a small crack near the kitchen trashcan. The laundry room door cannot be closed without a good amount of force, which we did not feel comfortable attempting. There are stains on the tiled floor in the shared bathroom. The bed in the blue and orange room lacked proper mattress support in the middle so you would feel yourself sinking with the mattress as you slept on it. There are pros like how the towels do seem clean along with bedsheets and blanket for the living room. Luke generously provides a lot of candy in the kitchen if you are bringing kids. My family stayed for a night and it was fine but I do not think my brother could've managed to continue sleeping in that bed for a second night

Stayed here for a friends wedding weekend with our kids. The kids loved the candy theme of the house and the accommodation were very comfortable. Luke was very responsive when we had questions and had lots of recommendations for us!

Candy Land was an incredible stay, beautifully done and extremely hospitable. One of the nicer and most accommodating places we have stayed. The neighborhood was beautiful as well as peaceful. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Six of us made the boat trip from Georgetown, SC to Wilmington. Candyland was a short walk and straight shot from the Port City Marina. Recommend this rental because of the location, cleanliness, and the wonderful communication by Luke.

It was a great value considering it was the middle of the week. We snuck away for two days and it was perfect for our stay. When we return (soon) we’re bringing another couple or our kids. This spot has room for six comfortably. We can’t wait to return- this is now our GO TO spot in Wilmington!!

This condo was beautiful, spotless, and absolutely perfect! We had 4 people staying there and also had our pets with us. It had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a washer and dryer. Parking on the street was easy and it was so close to downtown Wilmington. The decorations were so cute- it was definitely one of the nicest condos I've stayed in through Vrbo. The owner was very communicative and answered all of my questions so quickly. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend staying at this awesome home!

This place was very up to date. It was very welcoming. Beds were really comfortable and towels were amazingly thick and big. The only complaint was that rooms could have been a little cleaner. Noticed dirt, dust and even cereal under the bed in the middle room. Closet floors were also a bit dusty. Perhaps having a swiffer available could cut down on dust. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay. Kitchen accommodations were top notch. I would definitely stay there again, but for a much longrr time!
